Joining the Quality team and reporting to the Quality Manager, the Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the BMS (Business Management System), and assigning tasks to and supporting the Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of the BMS to ensure that the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and other common defence standards are satisfied. * Administering the internal audit schedule and conducting internal audits to monitor operation and effectiveness of the BMS and to facilitate continual improvement. * Ensuring that appropriate corrective actions, resulting from recorded material and process non-conformances, are implemented and effective. * Development of BMS elements with process-owners including process, procedure & operating instructions. * Customer-facing liaison on Quality issues, participating in regular customer calls and visits to Chess site and working to resolve issues. * Actively participate in design gateway reviews to ensure requirements are being met. * Reviewing customer bids and contracts for Quality requirements and preparation of Quality Plans. * Fault analysis and reports on customer returns.
