Overview
The Medical Directorate within University Hospital Monklands are keen to appoint a Locum Consultant Physician for a six-month period.
Responsibilities
The main purpose of the post is to support out of specialty medical patients, patients who are out with the current medical ward footprint. The role will be supported by a ward team including Clinical Fellows. As well as general medicine ward work we expect the post holder to have involvement in one of the medical specialties (Respiratory, Nephrology, Gastroenterology or Infectious diseases) or Acute Medicine dependent upon the candidate’s special interest.
The precise details of the job plan will be dependent on the successful candidate’s subspecialty training and interests, and could also include outpatient clinics, medical high dependency cover and the development of new and improved pathways.
