we are looking to recruit a
Lecturer - Hairdressing
on a
part
time (18.5 hours per week), permanent basis. In return,you will receive a full time equivalent competitive salary of
£30,000-£40,374 pro rata.

The Lecturer - Hairdressing Role:
As the
Lecturer - Hairdressing,
you will provide a flexible and responsive approach to students in the training or work place environments and undertake skills development and competence assessment as required.
Our Hair department is based at our Bournemouth campus. We have a range of courses from L1 to L3 courses, which link to local employers.
Working as part of the team you will ensure our students receive high quality training to give them the skills to progress and succeed in the career of their choice.
Key Responsibilities of the Lecturer - Hairdressing:
Contributing to the development and delivery of a range of educational programs including identifying learning objectives; determining, designing and producing study material; planning course/study program delivery.
Contributing to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods.
Ensuring that teaching is based on current best available practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.
Providing academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.
Creating an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment.
Managing student issues within agreed protocols.
Undertaking such other reasonable duties as the line manager may require from time to time and review this Job Description annually with the line manager.
Participating in the College's appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate
About You:
Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
Teaching Qualifications (or evidence of working towards).
Level 3 Professional (vocational) qualifications in Hairdressing or Higher
Assessor & IQA Awards.
Experience of facilitating learning for students in a Further Education setting.
Knowledge of current evidence-based practice in field(s) of expertise of hairdressing services.
Willingness to take part in Open Evenings/weekends; employer & school liaison and careers events.
