Are you passionate about making a difference through physical activity and sport? Lincolnshire County Council is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative Community Sports Worker to deliver inclusive and engaging physical activity sessions for children with complex needs.
Positive Futures is a community-based project which creates safe places and spaces for young people to engage in positive activities, aiming to support their safety, reduce the risk of exploitation and increase children's wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 sports and movement-based activities that promote physical health, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing.
* Deliver inclusive small group programmes adapted to meet the personal needs of children within the group.
* Collaborate with families, schools, and professionals to ensure a responsive and supportive approach to each child’s unique needs.
* Foster a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every child can thrive.
* Develop mentoring and supportive relationships with children, using sport and positive activities to support their overall wellbeing and opportunities.
About the opportunity
There is one full-time (37 hours per week), permanent post available with the Positive Futures Team. The successful candidate will work as part of the Future4Me, Community & Interventions Team and will be based in Boston, working across Boston, South Holland and East Lindsey.
Salary: £30,024 – £32,597, plus pension, benefits including discount schemes, cycle to work, civil service sports council membership and opportunities for professional support and development.
