MulberryEducationisexpandingourteamofself-employed,freelanceSpecialistStudySkillsTutorstoprovidein-personsupporttouniversitystudents.
WearecurrentlyrecruitingSpecialistSpLDStudySkillsTutorswhoareableandwillingtodeliverface-to-facesupportoncampus.Thisrolecannotbeundertakenonaremoteoronline-onlybasis.Applicantswhoareunabletoprovidein-personsupportshouldnotapply.
TodeliverSpecialistStudySkillssupportfundedthroughDisabledStudentsAllowance(DSA),tutorsmustmeetthemandatoryqualificationandprofessionalmembershiprequirementssetbytheDepartmentforEducation,asoutlinedbelow.Applicationsfromcandidateswhodonotmeettheseessentialcriteriacannotbeconsidered.
Thetutorsweworkwitharefreelancerswhovalueflexibleworkinghoursandautonomyovertheirschedules.Tutorstypicallymeeteachstudentregularly,usuallyforonetotwohoursperweek,toexploreandaddressthestudentsindividualbarrierstolearningwithintheiracademiccontext.

RolesandResponsibilities:
Thesuccessfulcandidatewill:
* Provideone-to-one,in-personspecialiststudyskillssupporttouniversitystudentswithSpecificLearningDifficulties(SpLDs),helpingthemtodevelopstrategiestoreducetheimpactoftheirdisabilityonacademicstudy.
* Workcollaborativelywithstudentstoidentifyneeds,setgoals,andreviewprogressovertime.
* CommunicateprofessionallyandeffectivelywithMulberryEducationand,whereappropriate,withuniversityDisabilityAdvisorteams.
* Maintainaccurate,securedigitalrecordsinlinewithMulberryEducationandDepartmentforEducationrequirements.
* Managetheirowntimetableandtakeaproactiveapproachtosupportingstudentengagement.

* HasexperiencesupportingindividualswithSpecificLearningDifficulties(e.g.dyslexia,dyscalculia,dyspraxia).Thisexperiencedoesnotneedtobeexclusivelywithadultlearners.
* Hasastrongunderstandingofthedemandsofacademicstudyatuniversitylevel.
* Hasexcellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
* Isabletoprovideconsistent,in-personsupportatUniversityofExeter.
