Job Description:
This is a part-time role with a salary between £22,283 and £29,310 full-time equivalent (35 hours per week, negotiable based on experience). The role offers flexibility in working hours, including occasional weekend work, and may include some home working. The position involves a six-month probation period. Background: Capital of Cycling manages adult cycling lessons funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority. We seek support to expand activities for community groups, including children and families, through cycling events and lessons. Certification as a National Standards cycle instructor and ride-leader is advantageous but training can be provided.
Main Duties:
* Deliver and develop cycling activities for children, young people, and families
* Encourage active travel in communities
* Co-deliver community cycling activities with partners
* Deliver adult cycling lessons at various levels
* Support administration of the cycling program
* Coordinate with freelance trainers
* Support team members and provide cover as needed
* Build community and volunteer groups
* Market and promote activities
* Collect data for monitoring and evaluation

Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience with community groups or settings
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently
* Knowledge of Bradford communities, especially Asian and minority groups
* Good IT and administrative skills
* Ride-leader certification or equivalent
* Experience in cycling-related roles
* Monitoring and evaluation experience
* First Aid trained
* Basic bike mechanics knowledge
* Promotion, campaigns, or PR skills
* Experience in project design and youth work
Desirable skills include experience working with individuals facing personal challenges and collaborative project experience.
