Job Overview
Zac is a happy boy who enjoys being active outdoors and watching his iPad. He is autistic and non-verbal – phrases to aid communication will need to be learned. Some personal care will be required. A typical day includes going to school, bouncing on his trampoline, and watching his iPad. On some days you’ll take Zac to Air Thrill, an ASN gymnastic session, the local swimming pool, or a park.
Responsibilities
* Escort Zac to and from activities, ensuring his safety.
* Support him in doing the things he enjoys most.
Qualifications
* Patient, understanding and caring, ready to help Zac access the world.
* Experience or genuine interest in caring for a child with complex needs and a significant impairment of functional language preferred.
Additional Requirements
* 4 hours per week, with flexibility depending on specific needs.
* Reliable travel to and from Kirkintilloch – a driving licence is required.
* PVG update will be required for the role.
Pay
Wage £14.20 per hour
