Instrumentation & Controls Design Leader
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Instrumentation and Controls Design Leader experienced in managing teams of engineers and designers in complex design projects featuring multiple disciplines, on heavy industrial projects. The I&C Design Leader should be able to write technical scopes of work, design/check P&ID's (including instrumenting P&ID's, and adding control and interlock notes), data sheets, architecture drawings, functional descriptions, instrument index, loop sheets, interconnection diagrams, instrument location plans, I/O lists and cable schedules. You should also be able to direct other engineers and designers in the production of these deliverables. In addition, review and approve vendor drawings, perform FEL1, 2 and 3 estimates, interact with other discipline leads and the clients to effect technical solutions to project issues. Must be able to walk down sites and gather field data, attend meetings, bid walk-downs, etc.
* Apply knowledge of radioactive waste handling procedures to ensure all controls meet safety standards for hazardous environments.
* Lead efforts in system verification, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Skills
* 15-20 years' experience in Instrumentation and controls engineering and design for industrial projects
* Able to manage team of engineers and designers
* Develop technical scopes of work
* Design/check P&ID's data sheets, architecture drawings, functional descriptions, instrument index, loop sheets, interconnection diagrams, instrument location plans, I/O lists and cable schedules
* Experience reviewing and approving vendor drawings, perform FEL 1, 2 and 3 estimates
