Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and directing the sales team to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills to motivate the team, identify new opportunities, and ensure the company's sales objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all members of the Sales team understand the implications of The Lexus Way for their role and monitor their performance against agreed customer service targets (e.g. CRS and dealer's own surveys)
* Lead the Sales team by personally demonstrating and encouraging the skills and behaviours associated with The Lexus Way
* Manage performance to achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement
* Monitor individual and team performance against agreed sales targets (volume and profit), work with the DP and TGB field staff to review progress and develop action plans where appropriate.
* Manage and motivate the Sales team to ensure that key activities (e.g. sales prospecting and follow up) are delivered to plan.
* Manage the Sales Administration team to ensure that key processes and documentation are delivered to agreed standards and timescales.
* Continuously review and improve sales processes and systems to deliver increased levels of customer satisfaction whilst maximising profitability.
* Work with colleagues across the dealership to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
* Ensure logs and management files are up to date and accurate.
* Ensure sales process compliance.
* Oversee and monitor Dealership CRS scores, with an aim to gain above national scores.
* Monitor staff training needs, ensuring training and development plans are in place and up to date for all members of the team
* Work with individuals to address performance issues e.g. by providing coaching.
* To have due regard for Health and Safety of colleagues & customers whilst undertaking your duties.
Required:
* Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
* Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude to customer care.
* Good IT skills
* The ability to work to targets and deadlines
* Resilient, self-motivated, and target driven
* Holds a full UK driving licence
* DBS check is required for this role
