Responsibilities
We have Band 5 vacancies at the 6‑bedded unit (located in Kings Norton) that provides short breaks for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs. The unit offers a high standard of nursing care, assessment, monitoring and review. Our services provide care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year and our nursing staff work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights.
The successful post holder will assist with the day‑to‑day running of the clinical area and will offer support, advice and supervision to junior staff, with support from senior clinicians and MDT members. The role involves providing quality nursing care and being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs to people with learning disabilities accessing short breaks, following person‑centred approaches within a Multi‑Disciplinary Framework.

* NMC Band 5 registered learning disabilities nurse or mental health nurse.
