About the recipient
The individual is an 18 year old female and resides in Bridlington. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having asperges syndrome, ADHD, anxiety depressive disorder, Bechet’s disease.
The role is for 8 hours per week on a flexible weekly rota.
They like/enjoy going out in the local and wider community, shopping, meals, pottery painting, cinema as a few to mention.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the community.
2. Social support and companionship.
3. Attending/transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.
4. Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.
About the candidate
The suitable candidate must:
5. Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
6. Be patient, caring and understanding.
7. Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
8. Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
9. Must have use of own car, to transport individual to social activities and appointments.
10. Friendly, chatty, someone with similar interests and energy levels.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.
