Menzies Distribution is seeking an experienced Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team at Ashford depot. You will work on behalf of Menzies Distribution Limited and its clients, utilizing your people management skills to drive business success, manage costs, meet KPIs, and support growth. Your enthusiasm for team support and customer-centric decision-making are key to your success.
At Menzies Distribution, our extensive national network delivers parcels in the business-to-business markets, including major UK high street and online brands, specializing in retail, office, education, and light industrial sectors.
Job Details:
* Role: Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager
* Location: Orbital Park, Willesborough, Ashford TN24 0GA
* Shift Pattern: Monday 00:00 – 07:00, Thursday 22:00 – 06:30, Friday 22:00 – 07:00, Saturday 00:00 – 10:00, Sunday 00:00 – 10:00
* Hours: 42 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and motivate the team to meet customer deadlines and improve productivity.
* Maintain quality standards.
* Achieve labeling, sortation, and warehouse productivity targets.
* Provide handover reports to the incoming Shift Manager.
* Conduct inductions for new staff.
* Train staff and contractors to ensure effective, efficient, and safe duties.
* Ensure all staff complete necessary Health & Safety training.
Requirements:
* Hold a full UK driving license.
* Management experience.
* Relevant experience in Distribution or Logistics.
* Hardworking, positive, and flexible attitude.
* Knowledge of H&S legislation.
