We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team for 20 hours per week in Cannock. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
* Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner
* Offer product information and recommendations to meet customer needs
* Process sales transactions accurately using the till system
* Handle cash, card payments, and maintain a balanced cash drawer
* Maintain a tidy and well-organised sales floor
* Restock shelves and update product displays
* Assist with inventory management and stock checks
* Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
* Address customer queries and resolve issues promptly
* Stay informed about current promotions and special offers
Qualifications:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour
* Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
* Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
* Enthusiasm for learning about products and sharing knowledge with customers
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation
