We are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking HLTA to join our excellent team. We are looking for a highly motivated team member with the skills and experience necessary to support the needs of our pupils and to assist the teachers in promoting high standards of engagement and behaviour. The role will be supporting SEN pupils across the school in groups as well as some whole class teaching. The successful candidate will be able to work well with the Principal TA in supporting the work of the SENCO and be competent in leading meetings with parents and professionals where required. This role is for 25 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks) on pay Grade 9 (Scale Points 19-25). We Are Seeking An HLTA That Will Inspire and motivate our children, encouraging them to be the best they can Provide targeted support to pupils with specific needs, including those with SEND Be able to deliver high quality learning experiences for all pupils Promote the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils Have high expectations of learning and behaviour Be able to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs Be able to build sound, strong relationships with pupils Be supportive, nurturing and understanding Communicate well at all levels ie parents/carers and members of staff, as well as pupils Work well as part of a team Be flexible and have experience across all primary ages, particularly ages 7-11 (KS2) Be able to work with independence and initiative Be confident and skilful in leading whole classes and intervention groups The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they: Have achieved HLTA status through accredited provider Have GCSE grade C English and Maths or equivalent as a minimum Have an ability to use ICT effectively to support learning Are professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality Have good communication skills and able to clarify and explain instructions clearly Have experience of working in a classroom environment, particularly KS2 We are a happy and committed staff team and look forward to your application.
