We require 1 full time (37 hours) Business Officer to provide administrative support to the Youth Justice Service. This is a fast paced, interesting and varied role which will include proof reading court reports, processing court outcomes, updating of our internal database, ad hoc attendance of youth court, general admin including scanning, printing and filing and uploading of documents, along with supporting the service with finance tasks and minuting of meetings. The successful candidate will be based in Huntingdon, with the ability to spend some time working on a hybrid basis. You may be required to travel around the county on occasions. What will you be doing? The role will require you to provide high-quality administrative support to the team. You will liaise with colleagues, the court, the police, professionals, and members of the public over the phone and via email. Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders is an integral part of the role therefore excellent communication skills are essential alongside an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection. About you You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as this is a varied role. You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages and be able to use databases. You will be required to liaise with colleagues, professionals and members of the public over the phone, via email and face-to-face which is an integral part of this role. Therefore, excellent communication skills are essential alongside an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
