Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Grinder Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding machinery to produce precise components, YOU MUST have knowledge of working with a JONES & SHIPMAN 540 GRINDING MACHINE OR BRIDGE PORT MILLING MACHINE.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge and attention to detail are essential. The successful applicant will contribute to the production of high-quality parts, ensuring adherence to strict specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC grinding machines to produce components with high precision and quality.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and SolidWorks models to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
* Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of grinding equipment.
* Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in machine setup and component finishing processes.
* Conduct basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions against specifications.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Document production data accurately for quality control purposes.
Hours - Monday - Thursday 8am 5pm Friday 8am - 1pm
