Main duties of the job

What are we looking for, the person:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused problem solver who thrives in a fast paced clinical environment. You’ll have a natural ability to explain technical matters in a clear, supportive way to healthcare staff of all technical abilities. You will be adaptable, organised, and able to prioritise tasks to meet tight clinical and operational deadlines. A team player with a positive attitude, you’ll take ownership of your work and be eager to develop your skills in line with evolving both national and local digital systems, in line with patient care needs.

Experience:You’ll bring proven experience of providing ICT support within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, ideally within a large or complex organisation. You will be confident in supporting and maintaining clinical systems such as Electronic Patient Records (EPR), Patient Administration Systems (PAS), diagnostic reporting systems, and other NHS digital applications. A solid understanding of operating systems, networking principles, and information governance requirements in a healthcare context is essential.

Experience of using a service desk system to log, track, and resolve incidents is required, along with the ability to work to ITIL based processes. Knowledge of NHS data standards, clinical workflows, and the integration of systems across different care settings would be an advantage – though full training on local systems will be provided.
