We are looking for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the journey of our brand new independent veterinary practice, opened in January 2025. Located in Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 1JQ.
Having opened in January 2025, we have have grown rapidly with a sizeable client base and plenty of scope still to grow. We are hoping to recruit an additional veterinary surgeon to join our team as we grow and experience this journey with us

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our ambitious and vibrant team who is dedicated to providing the highest level of animal and client care, with a strong focus on continuity of care and clinical excellence.
Many of the clients know our whole team by name and we pride ourselves on the fact we are an independent practice with a small, friendly team.
About the practice
Currently the team consists of four veterinary surgeons, including the two founders, four amazing registered veterinary nurses and a receptionist.
Our practice looks to provide a high quality veterinary service with a focus on client care. We want to create strong bonds with our clients by providing longer 30-minute consult times, opportunities within the community such as working with local businesses and stands at local events.
The practice boasts state-of-the-art digital x-ray, ultrasound (including Doppler, cardiac software and echo table), complete multi parameter monitoring system (inc BP, ECG, SpO2, CO2), Orthopaedic equipment (including oscillating saw, drill, TTA kit etc), forced air warmer, In-house lab with haematology, biochemistry and urinalysis, separate kennels and cattery and much more We hope to have full laparoscopic equipment including vessel sealing technology and dental x-ray in the next few months too
We aim to provide as much as possible in-house with a focus on providing opportunities for our our team to see cases from start to finish. From routine neutering to the most complex of medical and surgical cases, we work closely with visiting specialists to allow for further development and case continuity.
The ethos of the practice for its employees is to provide greater opportunity for personal and professional growth through profit sharing and potential for progression for every employee within the business. Further training is actively encouraged and funded where appropriate.
As a forward thinking veterinary practice we strive to reduce the effect we have on our planet with a focus on sustainability including recyclable packaging/prescriptions, paperless systems and much more.
Opening hours
* 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday
* 9am - 1pm on Saturday mornings.
Shift Pattern:
Two week rolling rota with an average 38.5 hour working over the two weeks. Set day off each week.
No on-call as we have a dedicated out-of-hours provider. Practice is closed on bank holidays.

Job responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities are listed below however we encourage further training to allow for the candidates own personal development.
* Routine consultations
* Neutering
* Soft tissue surgery (E.g. Mass removals, GI Surgery, Amputations)
* Medical Case Workups
* Dentals
* Ultrasonography
* Radiography
* Willing to learn or have experience of laparoscopic and/or endoscopic procedures
