Manpower are seeking an Assistant Harvesting Manager for one of our trusted partners. Role Overview:
As an Assistant Harvesting Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Harvest Manager to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of harvesting processes. Your responsibilities will include optimising pick rates, overseeing planning and organisation, and ensuring rigorous standards of Health & Safety and food safety across the facilities. Candidates will have a proven track record in Harvest or Food Production management, particularly in leading large teams, and who possess exceptional communication skills to drive superior performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead a team of 100 staff in a fresh produce production environment.
* Maximise efficiency in harvesting operations.
* Monitor and enforce Health & Safety standards.
* Provide training and development opportunities for supervisors and staff.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a fresh produce or production environment, ideally in harvesting or technical roles.
* A proactive leader with a results-driven approach, capable of motivating teams through periods of growth and change.
