Self-employed Core Delivery Driver
As one of our Self-Employed Core Delivery Drivers you'll enjoy freedom, flexibility and better financial rewards, plus all the support and benefits of being part of our wider Yodel team. You don't need any experience, and the more you deliver, the more you earn.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and collect parcels (up to 15 kg; typical pace 16-25 parcels per hour depending on area and experience).
* Plan and follow your own route or use the award-winning app with built-in optimisation to plan routes and liaise with customers.
* Scan parcels at each delivery or doorstep to ensure safe receipt by customers.
* Arrange suitable times for parcel collection and, where applicable, accommodations for rural areas.
What you’ll get and how you’ll be paid
* Competitive rates for each parcel delivered or collected (£18-£20 per hour paid per parcel, with rates enhanced based on mileage and operating costs).
* Daily & Weekly payment options. Access earnings from the next day via an app (Onsi) or join the weekly payment cycle after 4 weeks of completed deliveries.
Flexibility and opportunities
* Regular work in the same area, 6 days a week, with the ability to stay local and build familiarity with roads and customers.
* Freedom and flexibility to plan your own route and work independently, with support from a Yodel representative as needed.
* Access to ongoing development and support from the Yodel team.
What you’ll need to show us
* Access to an insured car or van (up to 3.5 tonnes)
* A full UK or EC/EEA Driving Licence
* Proof of Right to Work in the UK
* IOS or Android smartphone
* Proof of your own bank account
* A great attitude
