To work as part of a managed team. Work to be of both complex and non-complex nature, responsible for minor repairs and routine planned preventative maintenance activities, as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures, and taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.
Main duties of the job
·Work as a team and also independently on mechanical systems where appropriate to do so, for routine fault finding, testing, replacing, isolation, modifying, inspecting, improving, installing, maintaining, and repairing of most mechanical systems with the exception of medical gas pipeline systems, gas boilers, steam boilers, and steam and condensate systems.
·Work with other team members in carrying out routine fault finding, testing, replacing, isolation, modifying, inspecting, improving, installing, maintaining, and repairing and other Tradespersons who are undertaking mechanical/electrical installations
·Undertake minor non-complex installations as directed by Team leader/Estate officer/ and Senior Estate manager.
·Actively participate in the operation of the Trusts labour control scheme by working within the scheme including completion of all paperwork required of the scheme. (Including completion of all job dockets and timesheets).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. GCSE in maths and English (A-C/4-9) or functional skills level 2
2. city and guilds NVQ level 2 in plumbing or mechanical discipline
3. Completion of recognised and registered CITB or EITB apprenticeship
Desirable criteria
4. Competent persons HVAC
5. Competent persons LV CP
6. Competent persons water systems
7. Legionella awareness training
8. working at height training
9. Confined spaces course
10. first aid at work training certificate
11. safe release of trapped passengers
12. BTEC, ONC in Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Experience
Essential criteria
13. First aid knowledge especially electric shock treatment
14. Health and Safety Training
15. Manual Handling Training
16. Knowledge of carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical / mechanical systems.
17. Experience on heating and domestic hot and cold-water systems.
18. Work activities relating to legionella for example tmv maintenance and water temperatures.
19. Experience using ppm systems and permit to works.

20. Working on HVAC systems, ventilation ahu systems

21. Experience working on a range of systems, Heating, Ventilation, Hot and Cold-Water systems.
