Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MA license and tele experience with rotating 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
Care for a broad emergency patient population
Rotating 12-hour shifts with coverage for both days and nights (7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a)
Every other weekend is required
May be required to float to affiliated locations as needed
Must pass Tele/ECG and medication competency testing during onboarding
Biweekly orientation is provided for new staff
Returning employees and travelers must have a 6-month break between assignments at any related facility
Professional attire or scrub dress code is typically required
First time travelers are not eligible for this position
Requirements
Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration
At least 2 years of telemetry experience required
Minimum 1 year of previous travel nurse experience required
Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and TNCC
Flu vaccine required during onboarding with no declinations accepted
COVID vaccine and booster required unless medically exempt
Must be separated from prior employment at any facility in the health system for at least 6 months to be eligible
No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
