Deliver essential occupational health services across the North of England
Purpose and Scope of the Role: Join Tetra Tech as an Occupational Health Technician delivering high‑quality health surveillance, fitness for work screening and health promotion to a wide range of clients. You will work across sites from the East to the West Coast of the North of England, using client rooms and mobile screening units. The role involves frequent travel, regular overnight stays and direct engagement with clients to provide accurate, professional and timely assessments. You will carry out a varied workload, including audiometry, spirometry, skin assessments, HAVS screening, drug and alcohol testing, venepuncture and wellbeing medicals, while helping maintain a service known for quality, consistency and care.
In the short term, you will build trusted client relationships and deliver safe, efficient assessments with confidence. Over time, you will develop greater autonomy, broaden your clinical capability and contribute to service improvement across national projects. Longer term, you will have clear opportunities to grow within a supportive, accredited training environment, with access to development plans, internal progression and meaningful work on significant, high‑profile contracts.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Previous occupational health experience, including health surveillance and/or fitness for work medicals, is required. You should hold a full UK driving licence, be willing to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, and demonstrate strong communication skills, flexibility and a professional approach. Venepuncture experience is desirable, alongside relevant OH training and qualifications.
Work Pattern and Location
This is a field-based role covering the North of England, with frequent travel and regular overnight stays, typically Monday to Friday where required. Work is delivered from client sites, mobile screening units or clinics.
