Overview

Opal Play - Play Leader. Closing Date: Friday 31 May. Salary: Grade C Point 3-6. Hours: 10 hours per week, 11:30am - 1:30pm every day. Location: Kings Priory School. Start Date: As soon as possible.

Kings Priory School wishes to appoint an Opal Play - Play Leader. The successful candidate should love playing and have excellent communication skills. You should be able to use your own initiative and also be able to work as part of a team to deliver effective activities for pupils. We recognise that play, especially outdoor play, is at the heart of healthy, full development for children. The role of the Play Leader is to support all children and young people in the creation of a space in which they can play.

Kings Priory School operates across neighbouring sites in the centre of the coastal village of Tynemouth with short commuting links into Newcastle upon Tyne. It is part of Woodard Academies Trust, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to appointment.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Demonstrated love of play and good communication skills.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and to use initiative.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Eligibility to undergo pre-employment checks; enhanced DBS clearance required.
