Our client is recognised by the legal 500 and is ranked in the 2023 UK Edition for Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. They are looking to recruit a Solicitor/Legal Executive, ideally with previous multi track/serious injury experience.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday in the Newcastle office, with hybrid working available.
About the role:
* Running a caseload of mid-value personal injury claims
* Providing knowledge of legal procedures, including issuing and service proceedings, directions timetables, ADR and trial experience in obtaining factual and expert evidence
* Liaising with counsel and experts appropriately and professionally
* Drafting schedules of loss including heads of future loss
* Reviewing files and reporting regularly to clients, team leaders etc
* Assessing cases merits against liability and gathering evidence
* Completing Schedules of Special Damages
* Issuing proceedings and proceeding through litigation to settlement or Trial
* Preparing cases for Trial including Briefs to Counsel
About you:
* Proven experience in serious injury/multi track litigation
* Knowledge of legal concepts and good drafting skills
* Strong understanding of quantum issues
* Client care skills & excellent attention to detail
* IT literate in MS Office and knowledge of time recording software
