The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you'll act as the technical-commercial bridge between customers and the engineering team. Your focus will be on developing new business, nurturing existing accounts, and providing expert guidance on tailored metal solutions.Your responsibilities will include:
* Technical consultation - understanding customer requirements, interpreting drawings, and advising on manufacturability
* Business development - identifying new opportunities across UK industry and building long-term relationships
* Solution design support - collaborating with internal engineers to create bespoke proposals
* Project management - overseeing orders from concept to delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction
* Market insight - monitoring trends and competitor activity to support strategic growth
What You'll Bring
* A background in engineering, ideally mechanical, manufacturing, or materials
* Experience in a technical sales or customer-facing engineering role
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD)
