A leading multi-product supermarket retailer are looking for a motivated and hands-on Deputy Store Manager to support the leadership of their store. The role is based in the Channel Island of Guernsey and open to candidates willing to relocate. The Role: As Deputy Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the store. You’ll lead by example on the shop floor, support and motivate the team, and help drive sales, operational standards, and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the store while helping to create a positive and productive working environment. Key Responsibilities: - Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations - Lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service - Drive sales performance and support achievement of KPI targets - Ensure high standards of stock control, replenishment, and merchandising - Manage store operations in the Store Manager’s absence - Support recruitment, training, and development of team members - Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and company procedures - Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally - Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised store environment Requirements: - Senior management experience within supermarket environments or FMCG - Strong leadership and team management skills - Excellent customer service and communication abilities - Commercial awareness with a proactive and results-driven approach - Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure - Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and busy trading periods - Experience within food retail or supermarket operations is highly desirable The salary is paying up to £45,000 plus £3,000 relocation allowance.
