Logistics Administrator

A quick look at the role. The Logistics Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of operations in the depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles. You will ensure best-in-class service delivery to customers, maintain health & safety standards, and ensure environmental and O licence compliance.
Core Responsibilities:
* Manage operational staff daily to achieve excellent service delivery.
* Optimize route efficiency and utilize disposal outlets effectively.
* Manage driver availability and coverage, ensuring compliance with legislation and company procedures.
* Perform administrative duties such as inputting pay, bonuses, and disposal information.
* Proactively manage vehicles, liaising with fleet, ensuring safe operations, and monitoring vehicle weights.
* Supervise vehicle availability daily, ensuring driver checks are completed.
* Contribute to cost control by analyzing depot reports and seeking efficiency improvements.
* Complete all administrative tasks related to the Dispatch office, including timesheets, tachograph records, payroll, and holiday rotas.
* Work with the Depot Manager to deliver mandatory training, inductions, and toolbox talks per company policy.
Essential Requirements:
* Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
* Experience in the Services or Logistics industry.
* Competent with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
* Effective planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
