Job Title: Auxiliary Technician
Salary: £41,583 to £48,296 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

The Role
SSEN Transmission is seeking an Auxiliary Technician to join us in achieving Net Zero. Our Auxiliary Technicians provide front-line technical expertise and coordinate daily work in Substation Auxiliary systems.
You Will
1. Inspect, operate, and maintain Transmission Substation Auxiliary services such as Standby Generator sets, Batteries, and LVAC assets.
2. Collaborate with Substation Maintenance teams and stakeholders to coordinate inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities within your discipline.
3. Manage hands-on a range of high-value, network-critical electrical assets.
4. Interpret and evaluate inspection data, taking ownership for remediation and ensuring the safe, efficient operation of the transmission network.
5. Record completed work accurately and identify trends in asset defects and failures for escalation.
You Have
* Previous experience as an Electrical Technician, Standby Generator Technician, or similar; substation experience is advantageous.
* Experience in the Electrical or Electronics industry.
* Experience coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
* Ability to supervise complex tasks independently.
* SVQ/NVQ qualification in a STEM discipline or working towards it.
