Job overview
The Primary Care Liaison Service (PCLS) provides a first point of contact to access mental health services in Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES). We are looking for an individual who can lead a highly experienced and fast-paced team. The post holder will lead and inspire the Primary Care Liaison Service (PCLS) to deliver high-quality outcomes for service users and carers.
We seek someone who believes in the ethos of the Community Mental Health Framework and has the ability to lead a team to drive and influence the necessary changes for a transformed Mental Health Service.
The team offers mental health telephone triage, face-to-face assessments, brief interventions, support, advice, and signposting. The service collaborates with various stakeholders and has recently piloted new ways of working with the third sector, aligning with community mental health framework ambitions of an 'intervention first' approach. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated leader to support a well-established team in delivering a high-quality service while exploring innovative ways of working with partners and other teams.
Main duties of the job
To provide leadership, supervision, support, and consultation to nursing staff and multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff, in line with the relevant clinical pathway and operational procedures.
To be an inspirational leader, practicing and sharing excellent clinical practice, while motivating others to deliver high-quality services. The role requires balancing competing demands across key result areas, with the needs of service users and carers at the forefront. The successful candidate should be able to challenge operational issues effectively to ensure that service users receive the most appropriate support in their recovery journey.
