Job Title: Assistant Technical Manager
Salary : £42-47k (depending on experience)
Location : Perth
We are looking for an Assistant Technical Manager who will work closely with the Technical Director, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is currently working as a Specification Technologist or Technical professional and who is ready to take a step into a broader role. The Technical Manager will manage internal and external specification requirements, review packaging copy, and ensure accuracy across product information, a role where attention to detail and proactive thinking are essential.
What youll be doing:
* Managing all internal and external customer own-brand specifications
* Producing back-of-pack content
* Reviewing and signing off artwork with the Technical and Brand teams
* Maintaining product data across systems and platforms
* Supporting allergen management and validations
* Prepare for and manage audits and internal reviews
* Participate as an active member of the HACCP team
* Deputise for the Technical Director when required
What youll bring:
* A relevant qualification in Food Science or a related subject
* Experience in a technical or specification-based role within food manufacturing
* Strong understanding of packaging and labeling requirements
* Confidence working with internal teams and external partners
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset
* Good IT skills across Microsoft Office
* Experience working with large retailers would be an advantage
