About the Role
A vacancy has arisen for a CMM Inspector on the Weekend Shift within the Machine Shop Inspection Department. The shift pattern operates Friday–Sunday (6am–6pm).
Reporting to the Machine Shop Inspection Team Leader, you will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of components, ensuring adherence to specification in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.
Key Accountabilities/Duties
* Operating and running CMM machines to validate dimensional accuracy of components against drawing specifications.
* Efficient use of other inspection equipment to validate mechanical and visual characteristics of components.
* Strict adherence to drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.
* Flexible approach to working to achieve lead times in a fast-paced environment.
* Working within defined Health and Safety guidelines.
Experience beneficial
* Experience using Hexagon CMM Machines and Romer Arms.
* Practical knowledge of GD&T.
* PC-DMIS programming (highly advantageous, ~20% of role).
* Excellent first-principles inspection knowledge.
* Experience using ERP software (ideally SAP).
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have an engineering background, relevant qualifications, and strong working knowledge of engineering drawings. Experience in a motorsport environment (preferably F1) is advantageous. Computer literate (Microsoft Office and ideally SAP) with a conscientious mindset and keen eye for detail. Effective communication skills, ability to stay focused under pressure, and a process-minded approach to solving complex problems. Resilient, professional and committed to continuous improvement. Energetic with a strong work ethic and customer focus. Flexibility in hours and a can-do attitude; ability to work in a team, under pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
