Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a forward-thinking public sector organisation. This is a fantastic chance to develop your career within the public sector, working across a broad range of financial accounting activities while supporting the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
Key responsibilities
* Supporting the preparation of the annual Statement of Accounts and year-end close
* Producing financial reports, reconciliations and balance sheet analysis
* Assisting with budget monitoring, forecasting and financial planning
* Supporting external audit processes and ensuring strong audit trails
* Maintaining and reconciling general ledger and control accounts
* Contributing to the Council's statutory reporting and financial governance
* Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to provide financial advice
Qualifications & Skills
* Ideally part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA or equivalent)
* Have experience in financial accounting or reporting
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Be confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders
* Be motivated to develop within a public sector finance environment
