Position Overview:
As the Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy and leading the development of Mia Wealths core platform from the ground up. This is a hands-on position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a deep understanding of the FinTech landscape. You will be instrumental in building a scalable, secure, and user-centric platform that adheres to stringent financial regulations while delivering an exceptional user experience.
Responsibilities:
* Architect and lead the development of the core investment platform from the ground up
* Define and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives
* Select and implement the optimal tech stack, balancing scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry security standards
* Plan for future growth, enabling seamless integration with partner APIs and payment systems
* Hire, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team
* Implement agile development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and robust testing frameworks
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams
* Communicate technical vision and plans to investors and stakeholders
* Evaluate and integrate with external partners, including banks, data providers, and payment processors
Requirements:
* Proven track record of building and scaling FinTech platforms from scratch
* Expertise in architecting secure, compliant, and scalable systems
* Proficiency in modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks like Flutter
* Strong understanding of financial regulations, data protection, and security best practices
* Ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and a growth mindset
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
