Have you read enough ‘fluffy’ job ads to last you a lifetime?
Are you bored of bullet points and waffle?
Good, we’ll get straight to the point then…
Lawford Knight is a UK based learning and development consultancy with big growth plans. We help our clients to deliver brilliant training to their people and we provide a platform on which to do it.
So, without bullet points or waffle, here’s what we’re looking for…
You’ll be a driven business development executive looking to make a move into a business that’s going places. We need you to be comfortable making contact (cold and warm) with senior people at our target clients by phone and persuading them to have a longer conversation about their plans and how we can help them.
What you’ll need
The ability to ‘open doors’ on the phone consistently, every day, is vitally important. You’ll be someone who always hit your sales targets and does it with a smile on your face because you enjoy the sales process. If you don’t get excited every morning about hitting the phones and selling, this isn’t for you. You should also be used to using LinkedIn and other tools to find and warm people up first wherever possible.
If you’ve sold services such as e-learning design and development or learning consultancy in the UK market, we’d love to hear from you.
What will you get from us?
We’re very ambitious about growing our client base and our company. We want you to be a key person in that growth and to feel like you’ve found the career and the company you’ve been looking for. We also want you to have fun whilst doing it and to contribute positively every day, because work should be something we all look forward to.
You’ll start on a salary of up to £22,000 base with a commission scheme on top that should see your total package reach £35,000 per annum. There’s no cap on the commission so if you exceed your targets, you’ll get paid more. It’s all in your hands.
The role is office based in lovely Dorking in Surrey, a few minutes from the high street with its superb selection of shops, coffee outlets and pubs. What more could you want?
Our interview process starts with a phone call and then at least one face to face meeting. We believe that an interview is a two-way process, so we expect you to come armed with some good questions. Equally, we’re not looking to catch you out with tricky questions, and if we ask you, ‘Where do you see yourself in five years?’ please feel free to roll your eyes and leave mid-interview.

We’ll be interviewing good people as soon as they drop into the inbox, so don’t miss out!
