Labourer / Semi-Skilled Labourer – Steel Fabrication Workshop (Oldham)
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer / Semi-Skilled Labourer to join our steel fabrication workshop based in Oldham. We fabricate mild steel products, including builder's beams and mezzanine floors.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has some basic knowledge of the fabrication or construction industry, or for someone keen to learn and build a career in the steel industry.
Duties will include:
* Painting and finishing steelwork
* Drilling holes using magnetic drills (mag drills)
* Using grinders to clean, prepare, and finish steel
* Assisting fabricators and welders with daily tasks
* Loading and unloading steel materials
* Measuring, marking, and preparing steel sections
* Keeping the workshop clean, tidy, and safe
* Following health and safety procedures at all times
The ideal candidate:
* Has basic knowledge of steel fabrication or construction (preferred but not essential)
* Can use basic power tools such as grinders and drills
* Is physically fit and comfortable working in a workshop environment
* Has a good attitude and is willing to learn
* Is reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and progress within the steel fabrication industry.

Pay: £12.41 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
