Moulding Supervisor (Shift)

Working hours:
1. Days: Mon – Wed: 7:00 – 19:00, Thurs: 7:00 – 17:30
2. Nights: Mon- Wed: 19:00 – 7:00
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience/competencies of the role and 20% Shift allowance
We are pleased to announce that we are recruiting for an Injection Moulding Supervisor to lead a small team in a busy moulding department. The position will be subject to a successful training and probation period.
Key Responsibilities
3. Setting of Injection Moulding Machines ranging from 10 to 650 tonne.
4. Mould tool trials and Process Optimisation
5. First line maintenance of moulding machines ancillary equipment and tooling.
6. Contribute towards 6S, CIT and six sigma projects.
7. Quality checks to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
8. To ensure all Health & Safety regulations and guidelines are adhered to.
9. Ensuring production schedules are met and OEE targets are achieved
10. Responsible for the training and development of shift staff
11. To ensure all Moulding Procedures and systems are followed on shift
Desired skills & experience
12. Previous experience would be an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be given.
13. Experience of plastic processing machinery.
14. Knowledge of engineering polymers.
15. Programming of CNC 3-axis and pick and place robots
16. Computer Literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
17. NVQ 3 in Polymer Processing or PTL Level 3 or above is desirable
18. Proven Communication and Leadership skills essential.
19. Effective problem-solving skills.
20. Previous experience working shift systems.
21. Educated to HNC level or above in an engineering discipline is desirable.
