Job Title Associate, International Fund Services Department International Fund Services-BG-UK Overview of Department The International Fund Services Department is responsible for the oversight of financial accounts, tax computations and regulatory reporting for our North American and Worldwide Funds ranges. The department is also responsible for oversight of the daily NAV calculations, which are performed by the outsourced provider for these Fund ranges. Purpose of Role A varied role within International Fund Services with a focus on the firms North American Vehicles whilst providing support to Baillie Gifford's Irish-domiciled UCITS fund range. The associate plays a central and varied role within the department and supports the timely and accurate delivery of financial and regulatory reporting for our various fund ranges. The day-to-day operations for the fund ranges are outsourced and therefore this role is largely focused on oversight and review of work produced by our service providers. Responsibilities Operational Effectiveness Perform daily oversight tasks in relation to the fund NAVs produced by third party providers Communicate with Custodian, Fund Administrator, Transfer Agent and Trustee as necessary to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner. Perform analysis and tasks as required to assist in the review of regulatory filings, including financial statements Collate, interpret and review operational/financial information in relation to Fund documentation updates Perform tasks related to third party oversight, ensuring compliance with the vendor management framework Review inputs to the Funds distributions in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements Assist with preparation of board materials and internal committee reports Support the launch of new Funds/share classes and the closure of existing funds/share classes as required. Problem-Solving and Communication Provide ad hoc assistance within the department as required Participate in project work and continuous process enhancements as required Professional Development Maintain awareness of industry developments and changes to the regulatory environments under which the funds operate. Qualifications : • IOC/IMC (Preferred) Your knowledge and experience: Knowledge of NA pooled investment vehicles (Preferred) Experience of working with pooled investment vehicles (essential) The type of candidate that we're looking for: The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong and collaborative team player with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
