We’re hiring for a CNC Miller to join a well-established engineering business based in Droylsden. What’s on offer? * £17 p/h * Multiple shifts available * Mon – Fri | 6am – 2:30pm / 2pm – 11pm / 6am – 6pm / 8am – 4:30pm * Modern machine shop environment * Overtime available * Training and progression opportunities What will you be doing as a CNC Miller? * Setting and operating Haas CNC milling machines * Working on vertical machining centres including VF3, VF3YT, EC400 and UMC500 (5 Axis) * Making minor program edits using Haas control * Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances (/- 0.2 to /- 0.05) * Machining aluminium, tool steel and some plastics * Producing batch work from small runs to higher volume production * Carrying out self-inspection using verniers and calipers * Supporting quality checks before CMM verification (Mitutoyo APEX) * Rotating across machines within the milling section What will you need? * Experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Milling Setter Operator or Machinist * Confidence setting and operating Haas machines (or similar CNC milling centres) * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Experience working to tight tolerances Interested?
