Job Duties
1. Duties include but not limited to
2. Teaching student-athletes the fundamentals and mechanics of football.
3. Evaluating and recruiting potential student-athletes; organizing and conducting team practices.
4. Performing administrative and public relations duties, and other duties as assigned.
5. The successful candidate will serve as a position coach for Special Teams.
6. The successful candidate will travel for both recruiting and team travel. The work schedule requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
7. The physical requirements for work is medium demand, including lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent carrying/lifting objects.
8. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure compliance with NSU, Commonwealth of Virginia, NCAA and MEAC rules, regulations and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
• Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 10-12 years, coaching experience at the college level.
• Must have DI collegiate coaching experience
• Experience coaching and/or playing – specialty as Special Teams.
• Demonstrated experience with recruiting and student-athlete development.
• Proven record of adherence to NCAA academic and compliance regulations.
• A successful criminal background check is required.
Additional Considerations
• Master’s degree.
• Must have selected for internship or academy in professional level sports (NFL).
