This volunteer role supports Isabel Hospice by establishing and managing cash collections boxes within one of the following areas: Welwyn Hatfield, Ware and Hertford or Bishop’s Stortford. The volunteer will help raise vital funds by collecting and banking donations from static cash collection boxes in local businesses or Isabel Hospice shops, help identify new opportunities for cash collection box locations and oversee one-off donation days in your area on and ongoing basis. What you'll be doing: Research and identify suitable cash collection box venues in Welwyn Hatfield, Ware and Hertford or Bishop’s Stortford, such as Supermarkets, GP Surgeries, Beauty Salons and any other locations where cash collections may appeal to the local community Contact venues by phone to introduce Isabel Hospice and explain the importance of community fundraising. Advise and ask if they would consider keeping an Isabel Hospice cash collection box. Prepare the cash collection box. Collect cash collection box when full and replace the box with an empty one on an ongoing basis. Count and bank the collected donations. We ask that our volunteers are: At least 18 years old Live within an easy commute to the area Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week All volunteers are assessed individually for the volunteer roles they are applying for.
