Your Role
As a Day Support Worker, you will:
* Provide hands-on support, including personal care and daily living tasks
* Build positive relationships that promote trust, confidence, and emotional development
* Encourage personal, social, and emotional growth through activities and routines
* Follow and contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
* Maintain a safe, nurturing home environment
* Keep accurate records and promptly report any changes in behaviour or wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and professionals to ensure joined-up support
* Travel as needed to support young people in different settings
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Experience supporting children or young people (residential care or similar setting preferred)
* Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and positive relationships
* Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine commitment to helping others
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Flexibility to work a structured rota including weekends and evenings
* Collaborative, team-oriented approach
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce
* First aid training
* Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours
* Full UK driving licence
