We currently have two vacancies within the Procurement and Contract Management Team as a Contract Monitoring Officer. Your role This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Contract Management Team, to support improvement for East Suffolk’s Waste and Street Scene service with our key partners. The purpose of this role is to support the Contract Managers for Waste and Recycling and Public Realm to improve the delivery of key services for residents and visitors of East Suffolk. Contract Monitoring Officers are a key interface between residents, the council and our contractors ensuring that the contract is delivered effectively and encouraging public engagement to maximise opportunities to improve waste reduction, recycling and street cleanliness. What you will need The ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels, with internal and external customers. You will have sound knowledge of Microsoft packages plus an awareness of the importance of confidentiality and data protection. Exercising initiative and professional judgement in carrying out duties within the Council’s policies and procedures along with the ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines is essential. You will be educated to degree level or have 3 years relevant experience, with experience of delivering services to the public, including investigating and resolving complaints.
