Specialty Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ST4+). Fixed term 12 months, part time (80%). Provides care across antenatal, gynaecology clinics, labour ward, theatre, education, audit. Requires GMC registration and at least 2 years UK experience on Tier 2 rota.
Responsibilities
* Attend antenatal clinics, gynaecology outpatient clinics, labour ward and theatre.
* Provide on‑call coverage (second on‑call rota).
* Deliver teaching and supervision to junior doctors and nursing staff.
* Participate in audit and clinical research.
* Contribute to service improvement and education sessions.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration at time of appointment.
* MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
* MRCOG or equivalent.
* Further Higher Degree (CCT, CESR) or equivalent preferred.
Experience
* Minimum 4 years full‑time postgraduate training, at least 2 years in O&G specialty training programme.
* Experience in obstetrics and gynaecology as a specialty trainee or equivalent, including 2nd/3rd on‑call duties.
* Evidence of competency to manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
* Experience in managing and teaching junior medical staff.
* Advanced skills in US modules, antenatal, colposcopy, etc. preferred.
