Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? As a Hearing Instrument Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our Medical and Audiology teams, helping patients regain their hearing and improve their quality of life.
What You'll Do:
In this dynamic position, you will:
* Perform Otoscopies to assess ear health.
* Gather case histories to understand patient needs.
* Conduct Tympanometry and various audiometric tests.
* Provide hearing aid consultations tailored to individual requirements.
* Fit, program, adjust, and repair hearing aids.
* Verify hearing aid performance through Real Ear and functional gain assessments.
* Take earmold impressions for custom fittings.
* Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments using our patient management software.
* Assist in daily department setup and closure.
* Input essential information into our electronic patient management system.
* Conduct hearing aid checks, cleanings, and repairs.
* Support audiologists with orders, exchanges, and maintenance of hearing aids.
* Maintain an organized lab, ensuring instruments are clean and functional.
* Utilize Electronic Medical Records for patient scheduling and documentation.
* Take on other duties as assigned to support our team.
What You Bring:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A High School Diploma or equivalent.
* A valid NC Hearing Aid and Fitters License.
