Job Description
We are looking for an office based Payroll Manager to lead UK payroll operations with accuracy and compliance at the forefront. This is a key role ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, while maintaining adherence to HMRC regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage end-to-end UK payroll processing for all employees.
2. Ensure compliance with PAYE, NIC, pensions, and statutory reporting.
3. Oversee payroll audits and resolve discrepancies promptly.
4. Partner with HR and Finance teams for seamless data integration.
5. Keep up to date with UK payroll legislation and implement changes.
6. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries
Requirements:
7. Proven experience managing UK payroll in a complex environment.
8. Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
9. Proficiency in payroll systems (SAP, Workday, SDWorx or similar).
10. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
11. Ability to communicate clearly and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
12. CIPP qualification or equivalent.
13. Minimum 7 years of payroll experience.
14. Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
