Our focus is on continuing to provide an exceptional service, and so we are needing to recruit great people that share our drive to achieve.
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to manage our production operations from our Head Office in Fenstanton. This is an exciting new opportunity for someone to own the production KPIs, identify opportunities and drive improvement through the department.
The Production Department is divided into two sub-departments: Cut to size (beam saws and glass table) and Assembly (samples, chop service, hanger stamping and marketing launches). You will be responsible for all aspects of production, from safety, resource allocation, workload planning and quality control, to team management. What will you be doing for us?
1. Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the production department
2. Safety compliance: ensuring adherence to H&S regulations and promoting a safe and clean working environment
3. Establishing and maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections and ensuring products meet specified requirements
4. Ensuring productivity & efficiency targets are being met
5. Leading and mentoring the Production team
6. Managing departmental budgets in collaboration with the Head of Operations
7. Driving continuous improvement across people, systems, and workflows
8. Recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance managing the production team
We would love to hear from you if you have:
9. Strong leadership, management skills and excellent communication
10. Ideally have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a Production environment in a similar role
11. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks effectively, while remaining flexible
12. Problem-solving and decision-making skills
13. Technical knowledge and understanding of the production process
14. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (eg. ERP systems, data analysis tools)
15. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
16. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
