You’ll receive full training and have the opportunity to grow into roles such as Clinical Coach, Trainer, or Clinical Manager. As a Functional Assessor, you will work autonomously with individuals applying for PIP benefits as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports. Responsibilities
* Interview claimants to understand the challenges they face.
* Carry out detailed assessments through telephone, video, or face-to-face appointments to assess how a claimant’s disability, condition, or illness affects their daily activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.
* Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports.
* Interpret clinical information and evidence.
* Maintain professional standards in written communication and adhere to the code of conduct.
* Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
Requirements
* A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below).
* An ability to demonstrate broad clinical knowledge.
* Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
Essential Qualifications
Nurses:
* Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only)
* Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Physios/OTs:
* Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist
* Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)
