Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort while demonstrating excellent communication and organisational skills.
Duties
* Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
* Provide high-quality patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have regarding their treatment.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
* Ensure that all dental equipment is cleaned, sterilised, and maintained according to health and safety guidelines.
* Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure optimal patient flow within the practice.
* Collaborate with the dental team to create a welcoming environment for patients, fostering a positive experience throughout their visit.
* Reception duties.
* Ability to travel between practice locations within Walsall and Wednesbury.
Skills
* Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding of individual needs.
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Relevant nursing qualifications or experience in a dental setting is advantageous.
* Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with patients, dentists, and other staff members effectively.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
