Our One YMCA Youth Clubs support young people aged 9–18, providing safe spaces to socialise, learn, and grow. In this role, you’ll help deliver engaging sessions and assist with projects, including supporting the opening of new clubs in Bedford town centre. We’re looking for someone available 2–3 days after school and some evenings each week, with additional time built in for administration - a total of 10 hours per week, paid on a monthly, salaried basis. Key elements of the role include: • Supporting the Senior Youth Development Worker in planning, delivering, and evaluating activities for young people aged 11–25, in line with the Youth Work Strategy. • Delivering and sustaining a range of youth work activities, including outreach, centre-based sessions, school programmes, mentoring, and digital engagement. • Building positive relationships with young people, providing guidance, encouragement, and opportunities for personal and social development. • Maintaining accurate records of participation, engagement, and outcomes to support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. You’ll report to the Senior Youth Development Worker and help deliver a range of outreach and centre-based youth activities, aligned with the YMCA Youth Work Strategy and Principles.
